Every family faces challenges. But when housing instability, financial hardship, trauma, unemployment or a lack of support begin to overlap, those challenges can put both parents and children at greater risk.
That's why Home Start doesn't focus on just one piece of the puzzle.
Our programs work together to strengthen families at different stages and in different circumstances—from helping expectant parents build confidence, to providing safe housing, behavioral health care, parenting support and pathways toward financial stability.
Because when families have the tools and support to become stronger, children have a better chance to grow up safe, stable and thriving.

Helping parents create safer, more stable homes through home-based parenting education, case management, peer support and connections to community resources. Priority is given to families involved with Child Welfare Services, and services are provided free of charge. |

More than housing, this program surrounds pregnant and parenting young women and their children with support designed for long-term stability—from case management and parenting education to counseling, financial literacy, education and employment resources. |

Home Start provides individual and family therapy for children, including evidence-based approaches such as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, with services available at Home Start locations and in homes, schools and via telehealth. |

Support can begin before a child is even born. First 5 First Steps provides personalized, home-based support to expectant parents and families with young children, helping strengthen parent-child relationships, support healthy development and prepare children for school. |

Stability also means having the resources to move forward. Communities in Action helps individuals and families work toward self-sufficiency through individualized support that can include employment services, financial coaching, income-support navigation and access to basic necessities. |
